Plyometrics
Oh man, oh man, what a workout this little gem has become. Jumping to and fro, jump up, jump down, jump some mo'. I feel as though this workout will be the 'awesomeness' in the P90X workout routine. Every week I will dread doing Plyometrics more than the week before because I know my limitations and their ever increasing capacity to surprise. What exercise do I hate the most from Plyometrics? The exercise where you Jump. Sigh, jumping is not fun in my book. You have to act like there are fire coals on the ground and you already have blistered feet! Get up in the air as high and as fast as you can go. Do this and the program will work, do it not, and you will not master plyometrics P90X style.
My thoughts on Plyometrics for the 2nd time: The first time I did this workout, I was unsure what to expect so I took my time and did not push it too much. Today, I let that all go when I put the DVD in the player. Man, it was intense. By far the hardest of the P90X workouts I have experienced yet. My flexibility is already starting to show through. With daily stretches, yoga, and more stretches I am turning into a 'gumby wanna-be'. My legs are still my tightest spots, especially my hamstring. It will just take time.
Have you ever done Plyometrics (sports conditioning)?
